Open Pitch Black set guideUse the mark near a card's collector number, its three-letter code and the denominator after the slash to identify a modern English set. This first index deliberately covers the six main English Mega Evolution-era expansions and the linked Japanese M3 pilot; it does not pretend to be an all-era symbol archive.
Each result uses the large expansion logo as a quick visual cue. The smaller mark labelled “Printed set symbol” is the identifier that appears on the card near its collector number.
English set symbols and Japanese printed set codes are separate identifiers.

A number such as POR 022/088combines the printed set code, the card's local number and the official numbered-set denominator. Numbers above that denominator are secret-numbered or premium entries, which is why the total printing count can exceed the official count shown on the card.
Phantasmal Flames and Japanese M3 currently fall back to their printed PFL and M3 codes because the reviewed asset index does not expose symbol images for those records. The reviewed Japanese M3 record also has no standalone expansion-logo asset, so its main visual uses three audited M3 card thumbnails instead. A missing image asset is not evidence that the card lacks a printed identifier.
