About TCGOdds
Editorial standards last reviewed: 2026-07-21
TCGOdds exists because trading card game publishers don't print the odds on the pack. Collectors deserve real numbers before they buy a booster box — not marketing, not guesses. We publish set data, market prices and observed pull rates with the one rule that makes any of it trustworthy: every number traces to a named source.
What we publish
- Card & set data — synced daily from the TCGplayer catalog via the open TCGCSV dataset. Set pages state when their data was last captured.
- Prices — TCGplayer market prices, snapshotted every day. Storing the history ourselves is what lets us show trends rather than a single moment.
- Pull rates— aggregated exclusively from citable community sources: video openings counted pack by pack, and self-reported tallies with a link. Every accepted sample is listed with its source and pack count, and every table states the combined sample size. When we don't have enough verified data, the page says "collection in progress" instead of showing an estimate.
- No leaks — we only report officially announced information about upcoming products.
The full acceptance rules, current dataset coverage and build-time checks are documented on our methodology and data sources page.
Who maintains TCGOdds
TCGOdds is an independently maintained data publication focused on collector decision data: what is in a set, what real openings produced and what cards or sealed products cost at the latest recorded snapshot. Automated catalog updates are checked by build-time assertions; community evidence and official-preview facts are reviewed before they are added. We do not claim professional grading, investment or publisher authority, and we do not invent an expert reviewer or credential that the site does not have.
How the site is funded
The site is free and does not sell access to its data. It may eventually be supported by clearly labeled advertising or affiliate links. Commercial relationships never change a card ranking, observed tally or market-price source; those outputs remain data-driven and reviewable. See the affiliate disclosure and privacy policy.
Editorial boundaries
A listing in a marketplace catalog is not the same as a confirmed pull rate, and a creator's expectation is not the same as an observed result. TCGOdds labels those evidence types separately. We do not turn a handful of openings into a claimed official manufacturing probability, fill missing prices with guesses, or publish leaked and unannounced card material. When the evidence is incomplete, that limitation is part of the answer.
Updates are made at the source-data level whenever possible, rather than editing a number directly into a page. That keeps the card list, price tables, public API and derived rankings consistent after the next automated refresh.
Independence & rights
TCGOdds is an independent fan-made resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Riot Games, UVS Games, TCGplayer or any publisher. Card names, set names and card images remain the property of their respective owners; images are shown at reduced resolution solely to identify the cards being discussed.
